Back in the 1960s, the then recently established neighbourhood of Zapruđe, in the new part of Zagreb, housed mostly younger generations. However, in our time, the neighbourhood is home mostly to the elderly and people with physical difficulties. And yet, the place – just as it is – conceals a few living oases of – humanity. Among the unofficial and more prominent ones is definitely tailor’s shop Tereza, whose owner – Tereza – is a woman of undisputable qualities. In addition to being an extremely skilled tailor, able to handle even the most demanding of fashion tasks with ease, due to circumstances, she has had to adjust to the less affluent clientele of the neighbourhood, settling for only slight modification commissions of used clothes. But next to her sartorial work, Tereza has, compassionate as she is, opened her salon’s door to the numerous unfortunate women from her apartment building (and from the rest of the neighbourhood) who have been left completely alone and who have found a compassionate listener and friend in Tereza…
