Four River Film Festival in Zaragoza
Members of Kinoklub Karlovac, Lea Štranjgar and Ksenija Sanković visited 20th Festival de Cine Zaragoza representing Croatian Film Association and their club from 26th until 29th of November in Spain. Even though it is mainly targeted to adult authors, smaller part of competitive program includes children and youth creation. Movie “Bara’s Constant” by Karlovac filmmakers was nominated in the in the competition for the Best of the Best, connected with Youth Cinema Network. Movie won The best fiction film award at this year Youth Film Festival. Film was shown on a Saturday, November 14th. Next to a film from Karlovac, in the same category a movie “D D Dragon” by Lucija Majnarić from FKVK Zaprešić was nominated and won the award in Zaragoza as well as on this year Youth Film Festival as the best animated film.
Lea and Ksenija together with Rhianna Wyn Hughes from Wales presented Four River Film Festival and activities of Youth Cinema Network. They also announced the next, 6th conference of YCN that will be held in November 2016 within Wicked Film Festival in Wales. Organizers of Zaragoza Film Festival were extremely interested for further collaboration and active participation in YCN as well as coming to Karlovac next year and Lea and Ksenija got to know several mentors of film groups from Zaragoza.
