Outbreak of highschool filmmaking

The instability of film elements made the Youth Film Festival move from laboratory to laboratory every year, until, in 2007, it found in Karlovac the most favourable ratio of precious films, filmmakers and non-filmmakers. The consequences of the explosive chemical reaction of this first Youth Film Festival were felt far beyond the borders of Croatia and intrigued international chemical experts of film so that next year they sent in their own film samples and visited this peculiar laboratory on four rivers during the peek of its chemical film reaction.

Every year their number increases and the chemical reaction gets better and more dramatic! Therefore, the latest film experiment of the Youth Film Festival and the Four River Film Festival drew more than 150 high school chemical experts of film and their mentors from all around Croatia and the world (from 22 foreign film chemical labs), while their experiments were seen by as much as 4500 visitors. The new chemical element, KK (in layman’s terms – from Karlovac to Korea), is an indicator of phenomenal work and remarkable discoveries of these young experts, and it guarantees a hit chemical-film destination this year as well!
