„Little television Makarska“ – TV report workshop for children

As an introduction to 54th Croatian Children's Film Festival that will take place from 5th until 8th of October in Makarska, Dokuma prepared series of additional educational content for the youngest citizens. First workshop „Little television Makarska“ will be held from 22nd until 25th of March at the „Lanterna“ counsel in Makarska.

Eight students and teachers from Makarska elementary schools will participate at the workshop while the mentor will be Ivana Rupić, educator and art teacher, mentor of film and photography group at the Juraj Šižgorić Elementary School Šibenik. Workshop is structured into three phases that will lead participants through practical and theoretical film making process, from concept through filming and editing. Goal is to introduce participants with creative and educational process of filming and encourage development of film and video groups in Makarska elementary schools.

Participants will produce one TV report, form that is a natural introduction to documentary that will premiere within „City without cinema“ program, saturday 26th at 6:30pm at the fire station in Makarska. Next to screening of work produced during the „Little television Makarska“, awarded children's documentaries will be shown from the recent editions of Croatian Children's Film Festival in a segment called „MaTeeneja“ suitable for youngest audience. Screenings will be free of charge.

Workshop will be held within pre-program of 54th Croatian Children's Film Festival whose organizers are Croatian Film Association and Dokuma organization, sponsors HZTK and HAVC with the local partnership with „Lanterna“ counsel and „Sunce“ organization from Makarska.
