1941 - 2007
Zoran Tadić was born in 1941 in Livno. He has been living in Zagreb since 1943. He studiet comparative literature and philosophy at the Academy of Dramatic art.
His involvement in film dates back to 1961. First of all as a critic and a publicist, and then as an assistent, that is to say, an assistent director and a so-scriptwriter. He has been directing films on his own since 1968. He has directed 10 (ten) short-length films: "Hitch... Hitch...Hitchocook!" (1968), "The American woman" (1970), "A Postman from the Rocky Country" (1971), "The others" (1972), "The Story of Ivica Štefanec, the Mill man" (1973), "Plaits" (1973), "The Fair" (1974), "Land" (1975), "Recommended for production" (1978) and "Kašinska 6" (1981). He has also directed numerous (some sixty titles) TV documentaries and feature films. On occasion, he also worked on commission, filming promotional films. Finally, he has also diredted 7 (seven) feature films: "The Rhythm of Crime" (1981), "The Third Key" (1983), "Dream of the Rose" (1986), "The Convicted" (1987), "The Man Who Liked Funerals" (1989), "The Eagle" (1990) and "The Third Woman" (1997). He was awarded various prizes at home and board alike.
