FESTIVALS: 13th DAYS OF CROATIAN FILM

Rich inheritance — creativity or burden?

Animated film at the 13th Days of Croatian film was represented with ten films whose authors displayed most diverse approaches to themes — both generic and esthetic; narrative and abstract-associative. Experimental film offered sixteen works of varying quality, and although none of the films was ’breathtaking’, or announcing new revolutionary currents, experimental category remained firmly solid. This year’s music video competition (26) and programmed film competition (forty) was quite extensive, and qualitatively and quantitatively impressive.
