Nenad Puhovski – films which make a difference

Unjustly neglected films by producer, cultural organizer and social activist Nenad Puhovski are characterized by a deeply documentary interest in different marginal social groups, the people on the margins of the society, and as well as by formal innovativeness and tendency to explore the possibilities of documentary expression. From the meta-filmic research in the film on art Five films on Nives KK from 1980 to, for example, the film Graham and Me – A True Story (shot in 1996, additionally processed in 2006), in which the author explores his own fascination with a man who sacrificed his life for moral reasons (and remained unnoticed), Puhovski reveals a broad spectrum of documentary film and a deep fascination with real-life events.
