Poetization in music videos by Michel Gondry

On the examples of four music videos by Michel Gondry – Björk, Isobel, 1995; The Chemical Brothers, Star Guitar, 2002 and Let Forever Be, 1999; The Rolling Stones, Like a Rolling Stone, 1995 – this text gives an overview of Gondry’s work in this medium but also tries to give evidence on the use of poetic expressions or at least poetization of other types of discourses (narrative, descriptive and argumentative). The underlying question of this essay is: How does Gondry achieve the poetic expression or poetization which is evident in all of the music videos herein discussed?
