Strictly Controlled Enlightenment
The essay analyzes D. Fincher’s film Game in a sense of connecting of the central topic of the film to contemporary new age techniques of enlightenment. The game evolves at Freud’s other stage, a stage of the unconscious, and the technique of personality change of the hero through bringing him to a peripheral experience, closeness of death as a kind of direct blow into the unconscious. Psychological persuasiveness of such a project, which, in this case, strangely enough, ends with a happy ending, is analyzed in the process. Željka Matijašević |
