One of the most prominent contemporary
Croatian writers recollects his earliest cinema experiences
in Sarajevo. He also recollects how some of his life knowledge
was derived from some of the films he was impressed with,
e.g. from Renoire’s Great Illusion, and how some
of his literary principles were derived from, for example,
Frank Capra’s films, or from Bosnian director Hajrudin
