Experimental film and video 1986-1999

When film was still young, it spoke to us about the world around us. Moreover… it spoke to us about the world inside us. It mixed the world of things with the intimate world. Film was a document… film was a play… film was experimentum mundi. As Ernst Bloch once said it, that was how even the greatest filmmakers made their films. Beyond film genres – documentary, motion picture…experimental – they created unity in one experimentum mundi.

This is also the starting point of Zdravko Mustać’s art. Amazement at the phenomenon of the moving image and sound… fascination by film frame and editing… putting together a whole film “world experiment". (M. Krivak)
