Edo Lukman
Was born in Čakovec in 1949 where he founded the Animated Film School (the popular ŠAF) in 1975. Edo and the School are well-known for taking care of animated films, especially the artistic once. Each year ŠAF and Edo Lukman organizes the International Animated Film Workshop in Čakovec. For that occasion many internationally known animation artists come to Čakovec to teach children about animation. Edo Lukman takes part in many ASIFA Workshop Group projects and at International Animation festivals. He is a well-known author of different workshop models, and he was involved in near 100 workshops at home and abroad (Austria, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Scotland and the USA). He was a member of the jury at the Bourg en Bresse Festival (France) in 1992 and 1996, the World Festival of Animated Film in Zagreb (2002), the GOLD FISH Festival in Moscow in 2003 and 2005, and the ROSHD Film Festival in Iran (2003). He is a member of ASIFA since 1982.
