Miljenko Bolanča
Born in 1947, in
Škofja Loka (Slovenia). After high school, he enrolled at the
Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, but he soon quit the studies
to turn to film. He acquired his first experiences on film working
with some of the best Croatian cameramen (Branko Blažina, Fran
Vodopivac, Nikola Tanhofer, Tomislav Pintar). Since 1973, he
has been working as cameraman on the Croatian national television.
He shot hundreds of documentary films, over thirty feature dramas,
whereas in 2001 he started filming and directing science films
like Feather knife, which was awarded at the festival in Bitolje
and distributed to many European countries.
