Zoran Budak

He was born in 1950, in Zagreb, where he attended primary school and gymnasium, and studied at the Electro technical Faculty and College for Foreign Trade. 1971. In 1971 he graduated as a programmer of mainframe computer systems. He has become a member of the Croatian Literary Translators Association in 1976, a member of the Croatian Cinematographers Association, a member of the Croatian Artists Association in 1981, and a member of the Croatian Film Directors Association in 2001. 2001. He was one of the founders and first president of the Croatian Producers Association in 2001. From 2004 he has been working as a guest lecturer at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, production department.
From 1975, he has translated 22 novels from English and German, a number of expert books and a number of films. Since 1976 he has been working as screenplay writer, director’s assistant, assistant director and director and producer in coo productions and domestic films and TV shows, and a greater number of commissioned films and videos.
He lives in Zagreb, he is a widower with two children, cameraman Borna and Blanka, the costume designer.
